The title is a little vague, so I'll be more specific. A while back I'd blogged about how my boys couldn't be bothered to turn their dirty socks right side in and I figured if my strong healthy boys couldn't be bothered to do it for themselves, then surely I, who have far less free time than they, couldn't be bothered to do it either. And I figured either they would wear their socks uncomfortably (not likely) or get their acts together and turn them right side in... and now (drum roll please) the update.
Hi there, Nancy Carey Johnson, wearing the Singer/Songwriter hat here. I just finished up my last blog and got to thinking about how Snuggling up with my kids to read with them would be a great thing on a day like today, when I found myself thinking about it's also a great day to be singing with your kids. Teach them songs you learned as a kid. Don't remember many? Mama Bear carry's some good old Folk Songs! What about a fun movement song - like London Bridges, try acting out The Fox Went Out on A Chilly Night or even the Hokey Pokey just to get everybody up and moving.
Good Morning,
Nancy Carey Johnson, Creative Director of Mama Bear Productions, Singer/Songwriter, wife and mother of 4 here. It's raining here in my corner of the NE. and it's the kind of rain that's got a chill to it. Often when it's raining the song "Rainy Days and Monday's" comes in to my head - believe me when I tell you there is ALWAYS a song in my head and that's a darned good one for a rainy day!
Hi there, Nancy Carey Johnson here - got to laughing because I was thinking about what I had written in my profile about a MOUND of laundry -daily - With my husband, 4 active boys (which means 4 pairs of "Toxic Socks" at the end of any given day), lots of cooking (I seem to wear it well, sigh), is it any wonder that I can't seem to get ahead of the laundry? What a pile there is, the bane of parenting- Gosh, I really called that one. Such is life with a family, wouldn't trade them for anything, though I could do without the toxic socks ;0) - Be well and have a great day! Nancy
... about sending out Mama Bear Productions latest newsletter! It's been a while, apparently we had nothing to say (which is ASTOUNDING for us, but there you have it sometimes), so that we just sent another one is really exciting to me! In fact, I called Jolene and said "In case you were wondering if what you do in life matters to anybody else, just know that I keep going to my computer to check to see if you've sent out the newsletter yet!" That's the truth, you can ask her if you don't believe me.
Hi there, Nancy Carey Johnson of Mama Bear Productions here.
Good evening,
Hi there,
Nancy Carey Johnson here. Only for the last week or so the only hats I'm wearing are that of Creative Director of Mama Bear Productions and Singer/Songwriter. I am no longer the Music Director for The Children's Peace Project as it is now defunct. I'm really sorry to see it end, but I guess everything has a season and the CPP's is now over. So, I will concentrate more of my efforts building both Mama Bear and being the Singer/Songwriter that I am and I will revel in the good memories I've had with the CPP! Have a great night. - Nancy
Hi, Nancy Carey Johnson here. SO, I was just reading back through my blogs when I came across the "Work to do... Jolene that is" blog. The subject is about how I'd just finished a couple of books and Jolene was sitting on 5 of them (she's the illustrator in the group, I have a lot of skills but art is NOT one of them!).
Hi, Nancy Carey Johnson here. Back to "It's been way too long". The last few months of my life have been, well hectic is putting it mildly. I mentioned in my last blog that I'd had a family emergency - the end result was the passing of my 89 year old dad - though it was really hard, at 89 it wasn't a shock and taking care of all those details kept me VERY busy for a while.
