An Artistic Aside...

Hi there, Nancy Carey Johnson of Mama Bear Productions here. You may have noticed that often when I write I don’t include art/illustrators.  It’s not that I have anything against art, in fact I LOVE it, especially children’s book art – that’s the truth.  I’ve always loved beautiful shopping bags and Children’s book art.  The problem is I’m not artistic.  Not even close.  I’ve been blessed with a lot of skill but art would NOT be one of them.  In fact, I’m so bad people fall on the floor laughing, rolling and clutching their sides when they see my pitiful attempts at art.  Jolene on the other hand is a VERY SKILLED and GIFTED ARTIST (she’s responsible for our front page – you should see the original she did!).  Anyway, if you’re an artist/illustrator please do NOT feel slighted, I certainly don’t mean anything by it, it just so happens ‘artistically ‘ I’m an idiot which means I don’t always think of it!  :0) - Nancy
