I am first and foremost a mother of five beautiful children.  They have taught me so much and continue to do so.  I also love music.  This love has been ingrained in me since I was very young.  I started taking music corses at a local college when I was 15 and have only grown to love music even more over the years.

I also love teaching.  For the last few months, I have had the opportunity to teach preschool at a local private school.  I loved every minute of it.  I probably learned more than the children did.  It was a wonderful experience.  I have also had to be very creative in teaching my own children.  I have one and possibly two children who have dyslexia, and two with mild autism.  The youngest one is showing very positive signs of being well above her age though (except for her extreme energy) but is still too young to really know.  Thus, many of my books came to be because of my children.

Every year I attempt to garden.  Every year I think that this is the year I will get a great harvest.  But somehow it always seems to allude me.  Nevertheless, I keep trying to turn my thumb green.  I love to sew, not that I am very good at it, but I can make something fit and have the sleeves the same length.  I guess in a nutshell, I love to create.  I love to imagine.  I love to dream.  Fortunately/unfortunately (however you want to take it) this has been passed on to my children.  The other day, I was working on a book for a few hours.  During that time I had 4 of my children come to me wanting me to help them with their “creations.”  When I was done working on my stuff, my house looked like a tornado had hit it.  But I do have to admit that I love to see their minds working  like that.  It is definitely a lot of fun.

I love to learn and I especially love this life that I have been given.
