Summer Fun and a Few Surprises

A brief look at our Google Analytics reports have revealed a surprising trend. Upon landing at our home page, many visitors go straight to the Books category! That's quite unexpected to us. Especially since we have been focusing primarily on Music. If there are any authors out there looking to self-publish non-exclusively, with no contacts or obligations, folks are looking for you! Please contact us.

What Does Age Appropriate Mean Anyway?

Children develop at all different rates, as most of you have already guessed. With that in mind, age designations for "6 to 12 years old" are vague at best. After all, a lot happens to a youngster in 6 years. Even so, the family environment is a great place for all ages to appreciate each other's unique abilities and perspectives. A 12 year old may not like reading board books any longer, but may have a blast reading one to his 2 year old sister. Here's Nancy on what's age appropriate.

Bear in Mind

While it's true there isn't much on our forum at the moment, it's also true that the more people use it, the more contacts you can make. And lets face it, contacts - though not the only important aspect of business - are seriously helpful. They can get your foot in the door and not on the bottom of a slush pile. You could meet an illustrator that really "gets" your work (be it story or CD cover), a songwriter for much needed songs, a poet to put lyrics to your melodies, a musician to put melodies to your poems, a writer who sees your illustrations and writes a story around them... Did I miss anyone? Visit our forum.
