When American really started taking to the water in post WWII times, it was found that most did not really know howt to swim. Tragically, the number of drowning deaths soared. The Red Cross stepped in and created a nationwide campaign to teach everyone how to swim. There are FREE programs in most communities. Why not take advantage? It's not just a good idea - it could save a life.
